Location. Set in a former 19th century townhouse, the Stanhope Hotel in central Brussels, Belgium, is three blocks from the Royal Palace, the European Parliament and the greenery of Parc du Bruxelles. The British inspired hotel is within one and a half kilometres of the Grand Place square and boutique lined Avenue Louise. Brussels Airport (BRU) is 15 kilometres away.

Hotel Features. Classical music plays in the lobby, which recalls historic England with its white columns, sleek floral drapes, palms and royal busts.

Inspired by the Royal Pavilion's banqueting hall in Brighton, Restaurant Brighton is decorated with Asian murals, chandeliers and fluted columns. Overlooking an ivy clad courtyard with a pond, the restaurant serves buffet breakfasts and modern European cuisine for lunch and dinner. Leather chairs flank the fireplace in the polished oak Library Bar. It serves tea, coffee, drinks and Belgian beers.

From Brussels Airport (BRU):
Distance to Stanhope Hotel is 15 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive.

Getting there. The airport's railway station is located below the terminal building on the basement level, and is accessible by elevator. Airport City Express trains leave every 10 30 minutes between 5 a.m. and midnight, and travel to the city's three main stations. Single fares cost 2.60 EUR. Metered taxis can be found in front of the Arrivals hall; licensed cabs have a blue and yellow emblem. The journey to the centre of Brussels takes about 20 minutes and costs 30 EUR 40 EUR. De Lijn buses run to the city every 45 minutes. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. The Stanhope Hotel is three blocks from the Parc du Bruxelles and European Parliament. Brussels and the surrounding suburbs are served by an integrated bus, metro, and tram network, which offers a cheap and efficient way to explore the city.
