The Lefkoniko Beach is a modern hotel and apartment complex located just 50 metres from the beach promenade and 500 metres from the centre of Rethymnon, Crete. The 104 guestrooms, studios and apartments have traditional decor with dark wood furnishings. All are equipped with satellite television, music channels, direct dial phones, refrigerators and air conditioning, and the private bathrooms come with hairdryers and showers and tubs. Apartments and studios also have balconies and kitchenettes, while the standard guestrooms have a half board room rate option.
There are two outdoor pools with sun beds and umbrellas, a children's pool and a poolside bar. The Lefkoniko Restaurant serves traditional Greek and international cuisine and there is also a caf� for snacks and drinks, a lobby bar, and an Internet kiosk (surcharge). Every week, the hotel hosts a Greek theme night or a karaoke evening. Multilingual staff on the 24 hour front can exchange currency and guard valuables in the safe deposit boxes (surcharge); parking is available nearby. The historic Arkadi Monastery is 30 kilometres from the hotel and Lake Kournas is 58 kilometres away. Heraklion Airport is 75 kilometres from the hotel, an approximate driving time of 90 minutes.

Taxis and buses can be found right outside the airport; guests should agree the fare beforehand but typically it will be around 65 EUR to the hotel.
The best way to get around Crete is by rental car or bike, although buses go to most places throughout the island. The Cretan bus company KTEL has stations in all the larger cities and stops all along the routes. Many locations are also accessible by ferry and boat taxi. Taxis in Crete are reasonable but visitors should make sure the driver uses the meter.
